I try to break free from the ice inside of the dragon's body, but the overwhelming ice mana in its body just keeps freezing me again every single time I so much as crack the ice. Which leads me to a cycle of cracking the ice and having the ice be refrozen every time it cracks.

And I quickly learn that I can't teleport while frozen solid in the ice. So I'm stuck inside of the dragon's body.

I try to use Quantum Breath to melt the ice, but it doesn't really do all that much. Not when I'm still being repeatedly frozen again.

Meanwhile the dragon seems to be doing something outside of its body. Something I can't figure out what is since I'm stuck frozen inside of its body.

I grit my teeth from within the ice as I try to figure out what to do, only to remember something.

Then I immediately get to work using energy manipulation to directly create bolts of quantum energy that I begin striking at its body with from inside. Seemingly startling the dragon, considering how it suddenly jerks around like it wasn't expecting that.

The dragon roars as I continue to bombard the inside of its body in the direction of what I'm assuming is its heartbeat. At the same time, I sense a great amount of energy building up outside of the dragon's body. So much so that I think the dragon is using up the last of its energy on both doing that and freezing me.

I hurriedly keep up my attacks while keeping an eye on the energy, slowly digging my way through the dragon's body.

All the way until I finally find what I'm looking for.

A relatively large open space with a single organ sitting at the center with large blood vessels connecting it to the walls.

Without hesitation, I begin to bombard the dragon's heart. Instantly making said dragon go berserk in the process, shaking around like crazy and even trying to push me out with its ice mana.

But it's too late, since the dragon's heart gives way on the third quantum bolt. With large chunks of it beginning to glitch apart and disappear with every strike after that.

And after over two dozen quantum bolts, the heart completely disappears, leaving nothing behind but some glitched remnants disappearing and reappearing around the little cavern in its body.

The dragon roars out its anger and pain as I sense the energy outside of its body growing even faster, with the ice mana inside of its body rapidly depleting. But I just focus on teleporting to a corner inside of its body in an attempt to hide from whatever attack it's making.

Because I can tell it's dying. The creature's energy source is growing weaker and weaker by the second now that it doesn't have its heart.

I continue waiting as the energy outside builds up all the way until it reaches a breaking point and suddenly forms the shape of a massive spear that it sends flying straight through its own body in my direction.

Shit.

Fortunately for me, mere seconds before the spear is about to hit me, the ice mana in the dragon's body fades away. But even with that I'm still frozen and can't move quickly enough to get out of the way of the spear.

A spear that I'm absolutely certain will kill me regardless of the massive amount of damage it's doing to the dragon.

I grit my teeth even harder, only for a certain item to pop up in my mind right now.

One that I haven't used yet but is incredibly useful.

Especially in a situation like this.

So without hesitation, I activate the Quantum Lock, with the item description appearing in front of me as if it were trying to remind me of what it can do. Probably because I have a choice of two things to do with it.

Description: A ring infused with the quantum energy of The Reaper. It is able to slow down or speed up time once every month for a period of ten normal seconds when the user is below 10% of their total soul capacity.

Using it, I manage to slow down time around the attack. Which in turn gives me more time to break out of the ice and teleport out of the way of said attack, leaving it to eventually continue on its way ravaging through the dragon's body and out the other side.

Not that it matters, because I can sense the dragon is now dead.

A faint smile stretches across my face when I get a bunch of level-ups from the creature's death. Bringing me all the way up to level 1679 in the process. Giving me over 20 levels in one battle.

Which is probably the most levels I've ever gotten in a single battle before.

So that's nice.

I quickly teleport outside of the dragon's corpse before looking at it with a frown. Because the thing is… rather large.

Several times the size of my house. No, even dozens of times the size of my house.

And I already have things in my storage ring.

I stare at the massive corpse from the outside for several seconds before coming to a decision.

Right. I don't need to take all of it. Just the important parts.

So I can go ahead and cut apart its scales and vital organs to toss into the storage before heading out and leaving the rest of it behind.

Although, another problem at hand…

I turn to stare at the completely sealed off walls of the cavern at what most likely is the center of this frozen planet of ice.

How exactly am I going to get back to the surface?

I let out a sigh.

Guess I'll be digging for a while.
