Chapter 298 B4 | 72
Alexia
Of course, before I figure out how to leave the place, I make sure to open the boss chest. Because loot is precious, loot is life.
I blink when the loot's description appears in front of me.

Loot is also apparently useless, as it turns out.
Damn it.
Well, whatever. I'll just give this to Astrid and call it a day.
Seeing as I can't use it myself. Not without having a health stat.
Hopefully the next boss gives me better loot…
I let out a sigh before turning my attention back to the walls of this place. Only to notice that the walls are beginning to crack ever so slightly.
Oh. Right.
I forgot that the boss was the one holding this cavern in place.
So without the boss, this place is probably going to crumble.
Which isn't good for me.
Without any more hesitation, I rush up to the wall of the cavern and begin melting my way through the ice. An act that I quickly find to be far easier than melting the ice of that frozen river before.
Probably because this is just regular ice instead of special ice. Especially now that the boss isn't enhancing it anymore.

And just like that, I dig, and dig, and dig. For hours upon hours.
Throughout the process, I barely ever stop digging. With the only two brief pauses I take being to check out hidden areas I find on my mini-map.
Hidden areas that turn out to be hidden bosses and nothing more. Not even that powerful bosses at that.
So I just quickly deal with them, grab their loot, and continue digging my way out of the planet.
All the way until I finally reach the surface once more.
I smile as I look at the planets around this frozen ball of ice. Which is a much more refreshing sight than nothing but ice all around me.
After digging, I glance at Luna as she teleports to me before deciding to take a short break.
I deserve one after everything I just dealt with.
So I place my portable house down and lie down on my bed to take a nap. Albeit only after I set up defenses around my house and an alarm, of course. Because it would be stupid not to do that.
Especially with other Dimensional Champions roaming around the dungeon.
The alarms will warn me the moment a Dimensional Champion gets within sight of the house. Or a monster gets within a certain distance of it.
None of the alarms end up mattering though, since I manage to sleep peacefully without anyone waking me up. All the way until I wake up myself naturally and get up, putting my house back into the ring again and continuing on my way to the next planet.
At which point I begin slaughtering monsters with ease to level up more and more. Gradually inching my level upwards as I wait for the other Dimensional Champions to die and give me my lovely dungeon.
Because I'm not giving this place to anyone else.
It will be mine by the end of this little competition.
Unfortunately for me though, my leveling begins to slow down when I get to the later 1900s in level. Strictly because of the lack of monsters in this level range.
And I can't seem to find any planets that have monsters above level 2000.
So I'm stuck searching all of the planets in the hopes that I find a hidden area with hidden bosses that are in that level range. While also keeping an eye out for other Dimensional Champions.
As for how many other Dimensional Champions are still in the competition?
I have absolutely no idea.
There haven't been any others devoured by Mom, judging by the fact that no other names have vanished from the top ten list. Unless she just devoured people outside of the top ten list.
And that was my only way to tell for sure when someone was out of the championships.
It's too bad I can't just look at that livestream to tell.
I let out a sigh at that thought as I continue searching throughout the dungeon. But nearly an entire month passes in my search without any results coming up.
Then another month. And another.
At this point I'm a little surprised that the championships are still going on. Until I think about who must still be alive.
Probably Mom at the very least.
That thought gives me pause though. Because it makes me wonder if I can actually beat Mom in this competition.
Although a part of me honestly believes she will probably take herself out of the competition if it comes down to the two of us.
Then it finally happens.
After almost half a year of searching, I finally find what I'm looking for.
A massive group of what look like wormholes and floating platforms. With a bunch of monsters roaming all over it, and a single enormous wormhole at the center of it all.
The platforms all look rather damaged. Almost like they're just floating rubble. And it's obvious that gravity is messed the hell up here, to the point that I can see monsters jumping between platforms with gravity shifting on them halfway through the jump.
Almost like they are originally being pulled towards the platform they're on, only for gravity to switch up and begin pulling them to the platform they're going to halfway through the jump.
But what catches my eye the most are the monsters themselves.
Monsters that are all level 2000 or higher.
This must be the final boss's home.
A grin spreads across my face.
Time to hunt again.
