Okay, I've seen and read all of your responses. Honestly, I'm mostly just overjoyed that so many of you took the time to share your thoughts and advice on the story's direction moving forward. It made me realize that I was viewing my perceived problems in black and white, when I really should have opened my eyes and seen the vibrant scenery that's been in front of me all along.

I had it stuck in my head that I needed to rush the story onto Amazon so I could feel some kind of validation—that my story was as good as everyone else's. And, well… making some money off it wouldn't have hurt either 😅

But now, I know the story is seen, and it doesn't need that kind of validation.

That said… I do still plan to move it to Amazon at some point, because I want to make writing a career.

However, while the majority of votes were in favor of a rewrite, I won't be dropping the story to focus on one anymore. I still want—and need—to do a rewrite in the future, though maybe not as drastic as I originally thought. For now, it seems like most of you are happy with how the story is shaping up. 😊

That said, chapter releases may slow down even further than the once-a-week pace we're currently at. I originally wanted to increase output, but I can't force myself to write more than I'm capable of right now. Because of that, I need to slow things down so I can build up a comfortable backlog again.

I'll be taking a week or two off from posting to see where that leaves me in terms of chapters. If the backlog feels solid, I'll try to ramp things up to two or three chapters a week. If not… I'll continue the hiatus until it does.

Honestly, I was being an idiot. Thank you all for showing me that. 😂
